I think this was a project where the idea was far greater than the time given for the execution. I absolutely rushed many elements of the project in hopes of having time to study for finals. I underestimated how much work it would take to flesh out a concept as complex as an existential allegory between ants and humans, paralleled to summoning otherworldly creatures. I had several concepts originally planned for this project, but many of them I turned down just due to the workload; and yet, I still found myself with too much work. Even so, I think the strength of the project was the visuals. I spent lots of time scouring for good GIFs and images to use to capture the aesthetics I wanted, and I think I succeeded in that area. That is certainly where I had the most fun, and I'm certain I'll employ this knowledge on how to make GIFs into future projects.

The project turned out a lot more wordy than requirements spelled out, but I don’t see this necessarily as a draw back. I wanted to tell a heavy narrative story, so the visuals are more so just an aid, rather than the meat of the project. However, because the project was rushed the narration didn’t get a second or third pass through it should have to catch misspellings and mistakes. Oh well, I’m tired.

Working with Wix was both easy and frustrating, especially with all of the pop-ups when I so much as brushed my cursor over something. I don’t think I would use Wix again, but this project has definitely inspired me to want to create my own ARG or other choose your own adventure game. Till next time!
